Student's Leadership Basic Training

Hi! Do you know about Student's Leadership Basic Training?

Introduction

Student's Leadership Basic Training is a school program that help builds student's character. Tenth graders of SMAN 3 Bandung have just completed their Student's Leadership Basic Training. It was held in Pusdikajen Ditajenad. We spent 3 days and 2 nights there. As soon as we arrived, we immediately had to take part in various activities that had been set according to the schedule. Objectively speaking, SLBT is tiring -haha - but you can't deny the fact that it contains a lot of core memory.

Argument 1

The shocking part of SLBT is when we suddenly have to lie down to do push ups and other exercise on the spot. Sometimes, so suddenly after we finish eating, at the wet asphalt rock, or literally on a sloping hill. Another thing that a lot of students dislike is dining time. The reason is because we are forced to eat in a very limited amount of time and there are also a lot of rules to obey.

Argument 2

That's the not-so-happy memory, but there are lots of fun memory too! One of the most favorite part is when we chant together, especially after the closing ceremony when water were pouring down our bodies. Because of that, we moved from the ceremony field to the Sudirman hall. That moment, we all know how tired we are. The lack amount of sleep, constantly changing weather from freezing dawn to burning hot day and now its raining. But somehow, our body dosn't feel tired anymore. The sound of our chants echoing the entire room make our body shivers.

Argument 3

Another core memory is the night before the closing ceremony. All of the students gathered together that night, surrounding the camp fire while our hands embrace each other. We sing a few songs together that night, but each of the songs has make our bond stronger and stronger.

Reiteration/Conclusion

Student's Leadership Basic Training is not as bad as we might think. It teaches us a lot of fundamental things, such as leadership - just like the name - , independent, dicipline, responsibility, and unity. In this program, students are directed to develop these characteristics through military-style education. It may sounds frightening and super tiring. But to be honest, like many things we don't like, they actually have good things and benefits inside that we may or may not realize the presence of it.
